You are not alone with TEEN FLASH.
We guess as you have found the TEEN FLASH (Families Learning about Self Harm) website that either you or someone you care about is using self-harm to manage their life. It is our best hope that you find some useful information and advice on here.
The website works in two ways – as a general self harm help website but there is also as a members only section.
If you live in North East Essex (Colchester and Tendring) TEEN FLASH groups run three times a year. You will find more information on the website about this and can contact us for further information.
What is TEEN FLASH?
TEEN FLASH is a website for young people who are using self-harm to cope or manage their lives at the moment. The FLASH bit stands for Families Learning About Self-Harm as there is information on here that you may want to share with your family or caregivers.

“The best bit about the workshops was talking to people and learning how I can STOP. We all laughed together and everybody is so kind and you aren’t ever judged. Believe me you’d love it. ”

“I have to give you a BIG THANK YOU for making it so positive to attend FLASH when times got difficult. You were both understanding and never put pressure on is and were never judgmental. It is such a difficult subject and you made it easier to understand and feel prepared to deal with situations (at home). Thank you both very much (A mum)”

“I didn’t like talking about self-harm and (people thinking it is) attention seeking because I don’t agree with the stigma behind it. It was good knowing that I wasn’t alone there’s other people (going through the same stuff) ”
